Sex and Architecture: The Constructions of Pleasure and Gender 性別與建築：歡愉和性別的建構
The man-made world has indeed been made by men, and women have made their own place within those places of reason and order. The bias inherent in architecture has led to a situation in which buildings are associated with male values, and interiors with female qualities. In-between these artificial positions, there are other, stranger, queerer spaces whose sexuality if more confused. This lecture will look at the history of how men had dominated architecture, what women have done to wrest space away from them, how queers have perverted and deformed static and staid environments, and what we can look forward to in an era of gender fluidity.
